Ecstatic Dance

All are invited to come and dance to great rhythmic music and move however they wish (there will be no instruction); the group’s motto will be: “dance to release stress, and not to impress.” Attendees should wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring water to drink. All Eastern European countries have at least some tradition of music and dance, usually celebrated by a Sunday Afternoon "Hora" (or dance) in the town square. Come learn these dances to exciting Greek, Romanian, Bulgarian and Israeli music. Everyone, including beginners, is welcome to come and explore this great tradition. By donation. Mosaic Workshop with Lisa Bradbury

Eastport Arts Center will offer a Mosaic Workshop with Lisa Bradbury on Saturday, April 29 from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. Participants will learn how to cut glass and pottery to create a design that will then be grouted. Each attendee will leave with a 7x7-inch piece ready to hang and display. “Stories from Here” opens at the Washington Street Gallery on May 13th, spotlighting a collection of personal stories about important places in Eastport and Sipayik paired with images of those places.
