Captured in photos by Robin Farrin (and bands’ eye view by Basslady Joan Lowden), the January and February contra dances with Moose Island House Players were a sure sign of cookin’ times to keep coming at EAC.

The Moose Island House Players—Alice S. Clair, Ross and Brandy Argir, Susan Luthin and Joan Lowden—and caller Eustacia Landrum delighted large groups of dancers at their first two dances—February 1 and 29. The group, which formed recently in hopes of bringing regular contra dances to Eastport and surrounding communities, are looking forward to continuing the contra dance series.
