Eastport Gallery’s first-ever virtual exhibition—Heartsopened this week. “The Hearts show came into being in mid-March when the coronavirus pandemic became a sudden reality in our country and region,” said member Lora Whelan, who had the idea for the exhibition, and worked with gallery president Jude Kempe to bring the show to life as an online offering.
The show’s intention, according to Whelan, is “to reach out to family, friends and neighbors near and far, to offer friendship and love during a time of national and global disruption and fear. We hope the show will bring you a moment of peace and reflection on the most important aspect of being human: our relationship with others.”
