“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” ― Pablo Picasso

When Eastport Gallery put out the call for its annual Community Show, members of the Eastport area picked up their paint brushes, pastels, cameras and all the other wonderful flotsam that is used to make art, and answered the call. The results are a glorious respite from the ‘dust of everyday life.’ Like the most dazzling of crazy quilts, the artworks range from lush landscapes to spare abstractions, with each piece singing a part to a larger choir. Join your neighbors in viewing the show online this year and share the site with friends and family. A representative selection will be showcased in the gallery’s Water Street location’s windows from June 6 through June 20. The virtual show continue through July 3.
