Each year, during the graduation ceremonies at area high schools, EAC honors seniors who have excelled in music, theater or the visual arts.  Nominated by their dedicated teachers, the students have been chosen based on their commitment and contribution to the fine arts at their school and community.

Calais High School honorees include Adam Barnard, drama; Cole Johnson, music; and Alyssa Farrar, visual art. Shead High School honorees include Sarah Bartlett, drama and visual art; and George Mills, music. Washington Academy honorees include Hailey Boutin, drama; Taylor Bridges, music; and Evyenia (Nia) Aretakis, visual art. Congratulations to all and best wishes as you continue to pursue creative endeavors.

Nia Aretakis, recognized by EAC’s annual arts awards, is outstanding visual arts senior from Washington Academy. Nia’s is a familiar face in the EAC Community: she has participated in Children’s Theater Workshop, Moose Island Follies, and continues to be a valued volunteer at the center, especially during summer arts camps.
