Eastport Gallery’s latest pop-up Music on the Deck show, presented in cahoots with the Downeast Rainbow Alliance as part of a day-long Pop-up Pride event on Saturday, September 5, was the colorful five-piece band Beach Trash.

“It was a total hit!” said Gallery president Jude Kempe. “There was whole lot of dancing and rocking from the deck and down on the rocks from a very happy, cheering crowd! Ms. Sandy River and band members, Joe (guitar), Greg (guitar), Jozzy (bass), and Jenny (band leader, drums), gave it all up for Pop-up Eastport Pride.
The deck-side show was the fourth in the gallery’s annual Music on the Deck series. A fifth act is planned for later this month.
Previous acts in this series were Joan Lowden (Basslady) and Robert Sánchez, Oen Kennedy, and the Moose Island House Players (Alice St. Clair, Ross Argir, Brandy Argir, Susan Luthin and Joan Lowden).

“We would like to thank all of the musical talent that has graced our deck this year,” added Kempe, “and all the fans who have come to enjoy it. Also a special thanks to Joan Lowden for organizing these great Music on the Deck concerts.”
