Stage East’s series of most-produced plays continues on November 19 at 7 pm with The Wolves by Sarah DeLappe.
The play, which premiered off-Broadway, won the Relentless Award from the American Playwriting Foundation, an Obie Award for Ensemble Work, and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
In reviewing the play, The New York Times wrote, “Girl power is atomic in The Wolves, the incandescent portrait of an indoor soccer team that blasted open on Sunday night at the Duke on 42nd Street. The scary, exhilarating brightness of raw adolescence emanates from every scene of this uncannily assured first play by Sarah DeLappe, and at times your instinct is to shade your eyes.”
