Cohosts Anne Shields Hopkins and Mark Macey are excited to host another Draw-a-thon on Saturday, November 28 at 7 pm. “Join us with a slice of pie as we create together once again,” says Anne. “We will start with a song release by Rafi Hopkins’ Sibling Band: Oh Boy Thanks. This pop trio entertained us at our Draw-a-Thon after party in October, and is back to share a new tune and poses from Brooklyn & Maine, under the direction of EAC Island Institute Fellow Mark Macey. After seeing his work with Dear Elizabeth we will be treated to an innovative 20 minutes, no doubt!
The event will continue with “Portland-based artist Devon Kelley-Yurdin, a former EAC employee and current bravery discoverer, who’ll be “going for it” in a 30 minute portrait/performance. Next, Anne Hopkins & Duane Ingalls will pair up for an exploration into the grotesque. When considering their performance Duane and Anne are inspired by the following words: inside, think, film, easy, dirty and unseen.”
Our virtual evening will unwind with an acoustic set from a farmhouse in Trescott, Maine. LeRoy & Rafi will be playing through their budding repertoire as we recover from our exciting evening!
