Quoddy Voices community chorus begins its Spring virtual season on Monday, March 8, with weekly get togethers and rehearsals via the Zoom platform. Special guest instructor for several sessions will be soprano Mary Sullivan, who will work with the group on vocal care and technique.
Ms. Sullivan has appeared as a soloist with numerous ensembles in New England, including the Oratorio Chorale, Cantemus, the Concord Women’s Chorus, and the Lincoln Festival Chorus.

Guest instructor Mary Sullivan will work with Quoddy Voices singers this season on vocal care and technique.

Singers will work on learning some beautiful new choral pieces and those who wish can participate in the creation of a few virtual choir videos. These involve singers learning (through online rehearsals and practice videos) and recording their parts, which will be assembled into a video choral performance.

“Sing Gently” by Eric Whitacre will be one of the Quoddy Voices Spring 2021 pieces. This virtual choir video performance features 17,572 singers from 129 countries!

The group’s first meeting and information session will be held via Zoom on Monday, March 8 at 7 pm. Singers will learn about the process and become prepared to participate in rehearsals each Monday thereafter.

Everyone who likes to sing is welcome to join Quoddy Voices for the season; we welcome those who may not have been able to participate in the past. For information on how to access the Zoom sessions contact Music Director John Newell at jnewell384@gmail.com
