Please note—this event will be rescheduled at a later date. It will not take place on August 28.

As part of EAC’s KinderArts program, Lauren ‘L.’ Elwood, EAC intern and recent Oberlin graduate in theater and dance, will lead a joyful Scarf Dance Party, beginning at noon, on Saturday, August 28.

Offered in conjunction with Eastport ArtWalk Passport Weekend events, the dance hour is intended for all ages; those who’d like to join L., or watch the fun, should meet at Eastport Gallery, then follow L. down to the amphitheater area.“For anybody of any age willing to put on their rockin’ socks,” notes L., “the party will consist of various dancing movement games throughout the hour and some really good grooving tunes.”

Want to see L. in action? Here she is, playing an EAC favorite theater game, ‘What Are You Doing?’, opposite Children’s Theater Workshop co-leader Mark Macey, keeping student attendees laughing all the while.
L. Elwood, shown working with Children’s Theater Workshop at EAC on August 18, will lead a Scarf Dance Party on August 28 from noon to 1 pm, in conjunction with Eastport ArtWalk Passport Weekend events.
