Interactive art experiences, live music, dance, storytelling, films and more for all ages.  All events are free and all are welcome.  New this year in Eastport:  Featured installation artist Vittoria Chierici will present “Velas (Sails)” in the Sutherland Amphitheater, film and discussion at the Eastport Arts Center with Dwayne Tomah, and outdoor contradance with the Moose Island House Players and caller Eustacia Landrum in the City Hall Parking (in case of rain, dance will move to the Eastport Elementary gym) – no partner nor experience needed!  Try it! A special ‘Choose Kindness’ activity will be offered via Eastport Arts Center’s KinderArts program as well (see separate article).

The June ArtWalk is proud to partner with the Downeast Rainbow Alliance to present a number of Pride themed events throughout the weekend in both Eastport and Lubec, including Pride-themed, all-ages art activities at Peavey Library and StudioWorks, bandana printing by Hope at Little Chair Printing, facepainting by Downeast Rainbow Alliance and “Paw Prints for Pride” by Sweeties (bring your pup!).  On Sunday enjoy a slate of Pride events in Lubec starting with a drag brunch and parade and ending with a concert at Stockford Park presented by LAMPS.

Fiddlechick and Picky (Denise and John McCurdy) will play Friday, 2-4 pm, in front of the Peavey Library and Saturday, 12:30-2 pm, in the Amphitheater.

ArtWalk organizers extend thanks to “Partners in Art”: the Eastport Arts Center, Tides Museum and Institute of Art, Peavey Memorial Library, Waponahki Museum & Resource Center and LAMPS. The ArtWalk is grateful for the support of our sponsors, First National Bank, Eastport Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Eastport and the Maine Office of Tourism.
