EAC’s Concert Series will conclude Friday, September 2 at 7 pm, with a special show by Shead Ahead. In the tradition of EAC’s annual Young Persons’ Concert, a highlight of the series for more than 20 years, the show will feature a four-piece band comprised of two father-and-son pairs: Robert Sanchez, guitar; Ellis Zipperer-Sanchez, age 13, guitar; Heron Weston, bass; and Kieran Weston, age 16, drums. The group focuses on jazz standards with some forays into funk and rock.
Ellis is an 8th grader at Eastport Elementary School, and Kieran is home schooled; both musicians have been involved for many years at the Arts Center, both musically and in youth theater productions, and most recently with Kieran’s service as an EAC Board member.

The Arts Center is delighted to offer a youth-oriented concert after a two year hiatus. Tickets are just $5 for this show; attendees 17 and under will be admitted free of charge.
