A slate of holiday performances are planned for residents at Washington Place Assisted Living in Calais, and Eastport Memorial Nursing Home, featuring musicians affiliated with Eastport Arts Center. Alison Brennan, the Center’s Education and Outreach Coordinator, is excited to resume this branch of her efforts for the community.
Different musical groups will visit the facilities over the course of December. First up are December 6 and 12 appearances by a trio of Passamaquoddy Bay Symphony Orchestra members: Ellen Krajewski, cello; Nancy Asante, flute; and Sineidin O’Niall, violin.

Next, on December 16, a string trio featuring Krajewski with violinists Lauren Simpson and Ann Simmons will appear.
Finally, a small ensemble of singers from Quoddy Voices will do two musical stops on December 20.
Coming up in the new year, singer Lauren Koss, accompanying herself on ukulele, will visit the residents to perform an array of vintage tunes—jazz, folk and oldies. Koss, who works as Publicity Director at the Arts Center alongside Brennan, is excited to participate again with this project.

Inquries about these programs may be made to Alison Brennan by email to alison@eastportartscenter.org.
