Eastport Arts Center will host the 10th Annual Holiday Market from 10 am to 2 pm, Saturday, November 26. Shoppers will enjoy the congenial gathering, with appealing goods of all kinds to tempt the prospective gift-giver. Vendors will be on hand with fine artwork, crafts, jewelry, fiber art, goods for the home and for personal care, and food gifts. We are pleased to have a duo of youth vendors signed up as well, with an array of hand-painted and wearable art items. In addition, EAC’s International Dinner Cookbook, featuring ’round the world recipes from 27 local cooks and images by 12 area artists and photographers, will be available for purchase during the event. A concession by the Pie Ladies of Pembroke will feature savory lunch items, sweet treats and hot beverages. All proceeds from cookbook sales and vendor fees will go towards EAC’s operating costs.
Raven Berry, 11, of East Machias, and Abby Leavitt, 19, of Pembroke and Trescott, will share a small booth to show their nature-themed artwork, hand-painted fabric items, and jewelry. The girls have enjoyed doing art and craft projects together since Raven was a toddler, and they’re excited to present some of the results of these years of co-crafting for this year’s market.
