Many of Eastport Gallery artists have received kudos and awards, but today we’re featuring two notable women who have been recognized repeatedly for their work.

Courtney Moore has won more than 40 photo contests both locally and worldwide as well as being published in multiple magazines and books. She was published in her first national magazine at the age of 7 after winning Ranger Rick’s photo contest. In 2014 she placed second in the Big Picture (Natural World Photography Competition) and had the honor of being named the Travel Photographer of the Year’s Young Travel Photographer of the Year in 2016 with a series of red fox photos.

Sharon Weir has been painting in watercolors since the 1980s and since then has added pastels, inks, acrylics and printmaking to her body of work. She has participated in the Northshore Art Association of Gloucester, MA and has received many ribbons for her work from the Guild of Artists in Beverly, MA. She has had one person shows for her floral watercolors, seascapes and farm scenes.

Both of these artists share a passion for nature and it is reflected in their paintings, prints and photography. You can see their work online at
