Eastport Arts Center will offer free Children’s Drumming classes with Noel Brennan during the December school vacation, with a session for ages 4 to 7 from 1:30-2 pm, and a session for ages 8 to 16 from 2:30-3:30 pm, on Tuesday, December 27 at the Center. Attendees will learn in a group format about language-based hand drumming from Senegal and India as well as grooves from farther west. Space is limited for these classes, and preregistration is required, via email to alison@eastportartscenter.org. Please let us know if your child has access to an appropriately sized djembe to bring; if so, we’ll be able to accept more students.
