Eastport Arts Center will present Charlotte-based singer/songwriter and guitarist Patrick Mawn for an evening of music on Friday, September 22 at 7 pm. (PLEASE TAKE NOTE: EAC’s elevator is temporarily out of service, and will not be usable for this event).

Mawn’s eclectic repertoire includes original works and unique takes on popular tunes, ranging across many different genres, and featuring his distinctive strumming style and dynamic performance. With compositions channeling indie, folk rock and ballad styles, Mawn strives to connect to his audience through stories and songs. “His vocals soar like an angel’s, yet are grounded by gravitas and grit.” writes Pat Moran of the Queen City Nerve, Charlotte, NC.
Mawn’s collaborations have included producer Shannon McArthur (Dashboard Confessional) and Emmy-winner Rob Tavaglione (Catalyst Studios). He is touring to promote his debut album, “Hub of Humanity”; debut single “I Don’t Wanna Be Sad Anymore” is accumulating radio airplay slots, including the University Of Alaska’s KSUA and WRPI in Troy, NY. A music video for the debut song is viewable below.

Tickets for Mawn’s EAC show are $15, attendees 17 and under will be admitted free of charge. They will be available for purchase 30 minutes prior to the show at the EAC box office, or may be reserved in advance by email to info@eastportartscenter.org.
