On Saturday, October 28, from 6-9 pm, Eastport Arts Center will host a Halloween-themed dance with the Moose Island Contra Etc. (MICE) band, featuring Alice Schuth on fiddle, Susan Luthin on octave mandolin and whistle, Joan Lowden on bass, Kara McCrimmon on piano accordion, guitar and Irish whistle, and Jim O’Neil on banjo, button accordion, and guitar. Eustacia Landrum will grace the hall as caller. All dances will be taught and everyone is welcome, all ages and abilities. All are invited to wear Halloween costumes for the event. Spectators curious about Contra Dancing and those who simply love spirited live music are encouraged to come as well.

The event is offered by a suggested $10 donation; children will be admitted free of charge. The dance will conclude a day of city-wide Witches of Eastport festivities for all ages; more information about the festival, a project of the Eastport ArtWalk, may be found at eastportartfests.org. EAC is a proud Partner in Art of Eastport ArtWalk.
