A holiday party and “white elephant” gift exchange is planned for the December 15 meeting of EAC’s Homeschool Co-op. As with the group’s November Snacksgiving event, families are encouraged to bring a snack to share. The project will be custom gift wrap. “Each student will get a roll of brown or white paper,” notes Nicole Perkins, organizer of the group and EAC’s Education & Outreach Coordinator. “We will lay it out on the floor and let them customize it with holiday doodles, stickers, stamps, sparkles, etc. Then we’ll roll it back up and they will have a roll of custom gift wrap to use for the holidays.”
Each student should bring a gift to “swap”, valued at $10 or less. If bringing a gift presents an obstacle to participation, please email Perkins, who is able to provide some gifts for the exchange.

EAC’s Homeschool Co-op meets on the first and third Fridays of each month, from 1-3 pm. The group is a place for K-12 students and their families to engage in structured activities, have a safe space to explore educational goals, and meet peers for social interaction.
Those who would like more information about the group are invited to email EAC Education and Outreach Coordinator, Nicole Perkins, at nicole@eastportartscenter.org.
Eastport Arts Center is at 36 Washington Street, Eastport, and is handicapped-accessible. EAC abides by the State of Maine CDC COVID guidelines, revisiting our policy monthly. At this time, the use of masks in our building is optional.
