This weekend is your last chance to bid on all the lovelies created by local artists and Eastport fans from elsewhere. The Hearts for the Arts auction closes on February 18th at 5 pm. Proceeds from the auction support the artists as well as help to fund the community-oriented Eastport ArtFests happening throughout the year.

Birds Over Lubec” by Greg Gordon

With 58 artists participating all told, Eastport Gallery is well represented with 12 artists who are either current or past members. While many of the artists hail from Maine (Eastport, Perry, Pembroke, Lubec, Machias, Robbinston, Princeton, Edmunds, Jonesport, Kossuth, Orono, Old Orchard Beach and Cape Elizabeth), 13 live out of state. The folks sharing their love long distance have connections to our fair city through family, history or happy seasonal memories. Also included in the selection are pieces by Hilary Lorenz, Abiquiu, NM, from her recent work as Artist in Residence at StudioWorks.
