EAC Films will present Shakespeare in Love (1998, R), on Saturday, February 10, at 2 pm and 6 pm. Distributor Swank Films summarizes the Best Picture Oscar-winner as “A fictional romance between a struggling young playwright named Shakespeare and a noblewoman who longs to act, and who inspires him to write ‘Romeo and Juliet.’ Gwyneth Paltrow won an Oscar for her role as the muse.”
Tickets for Shakespeare in Love are $7, and will be available for purchase here, or at the door.

Rave reviews for this film which won 7 Oscars are still rolling in. Terry Lawson wrote last year for the Detroit Free Press: “Though set in the Bard’s 16th Century, Shakespeare in Love is hipper, smarter and cleverer than any contemporary romantic comedy in recent memory.” More glowing reviews may be read here: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/shakespeare_in_love.
