A long, long time ago a woman moved to Eastport with a vision. It was a vision full of art, community and a generous helping of good food. Joyce Weber moved to Eastport with her husband Paul in 1983 and together they opened an “Artist Retreat” B&B with Joyce’s studio in the light-filled upper floor. A couple years later Joyce and a few fellow artists opened Eastport Gallery in the building now known as The Commons. As art bloomed in Eastport it led to the formation of the Eastport Arts Center! Learn more about the history here.

Joyce passed away on April 9, 2020, leaving us with a legacy of amazing beauty.
