EAC’s Washington Street Gallery will present an exhibition, Geometric and Abstract Art, by Bill Stevens, May 3-29, with an opening reception Saturday, May 4, 2-5 pm. Stevens came to art later in life, after a diverse career of 36 years of building submarines, while living in Groton, Connecticut. Additional interests have been designing custom interior and exterior modifications for vans and authoring a cookbook; Stevens van work was always signed ‘Customs by Moon Shiner,’ and he uses this handle for his artwork as well.

Stevens notes that all of his drawings are done for his fiancee, Carla, and that he enjoys trying different designs. Proceeds from the sale of his work will go towards assisting Carla with needed home repairs.

Washington Street Gallery, open during EAC events or by chance or appointment (email wsg@eastportartscenter.org to inquire) is on the first floor of Eastport Arts Center, at 36 Washington Street, Eastport, and is handicapped-accessible.
