Recurring event see all

June 25, 2021 @ 9:00 am June 27, 2021 @ 6:00 pm

The Eastport ArtWalk Passport weekends celebrate the arts the Way Downeast way.  A full schedule of events is available at <www.facebook.com/eastportpassport>.

The June weekend kicks off in Eastport’s historic downtown on Friday June 25 with a slate of events sponsored by the Downeast Rainbow Alliance, starting with an art activity at Peavey Library at 1pm and concluding with a Pride Dance Party in the Sutherland Amphitheater featuring the not-to-be-missed Machias-based band “Beach Trash” from 6-8 p.m.

The all-ages, art-focused fun continues all day on Passport Saturdays in Eastport. A free KinderArts drop-in activity will be offered 10:30 am to noon at Eastport Arts Center—rainbow-hued fingerprint art with Nia Aretakis. The day continues with gallery visits, artist talks, interactive art activities, and in the Sutherland Amphitheater, live music with Colie Brice and Oen Kennedy at 2 p.m., the Stage East StorySlam at 4 p.m. (preceded by a storytelling workshop, 2:30-3:30 pm, at Eastport Arts Center), and at dusk, the Moonlight movies presents “Ice Age”.

Get your “passports” stamped at participating galleries to be eligible to win a $100 gift certificate at the Saturday afternoon drawing following the Stage East StorySlam. You need not be present to win.

On Sunday, June 27 visitors are encouraged to take the 12 noon Ferry from Eastport to Lubec, then head to Stockford Park on South Water St. for the LAMPS summer concert series featuring the Sea Street Blues Band and Patty Corms & the Fullertims.

Come experience the arts, the Way Downeast way, June 25-27! Full schedule of events and rain updates found at <facebook.com/eastportpassport>.
