KinderArts Music & Movement—Calais and Eastport Sessions Weekly

Thursday, February 1 @ 10:00 am 10:45 am

Eastport Arts Center’s KinderArts program meets weekly in two communities:
Thursdays, 10-10:45 am at Sunrise Opportunities (the former Calais Congregational church), 21 Calais Avenue;
and Fridays, 10-10:45 am at Eastport Arts Center.
The free sessions, led by popular instructor Caroline Coleman, will feature music, movement and yoga, and are designed for children up to age 5 to attend with a parent or caregiver.
Participants are asked to please pre-register with Nicole at nicole@eastportartscenter.org, but they are also welcome to attend as walk-ins. Registrants will be placed on a contact list for the group, and will receive notification of any last-minute changes to the weekly schedule.
Coleman, who grew up in Calais and is a mother of 3 boys, is the owner of Maine Moon Kids Yoga and has been a certified children’s yoga teacher since 2018. While taking yoga classes in college, she appreciated the mind-body connection and decided to pursue this as a career knowing that she could help others benefit. Caroline uses mindfulness, music and movement to help the children refine their gross and fine motor skills, and learn to focus and concentrate while being in a group activity.Eastport Arts Center is at 36 Washington Street, Eastport, and is handicapped-accessible. EAC abides by State of Maine CDC COVID guidelines, revisiting our policy monthly. At this time, the use of masks in our building is optional.
