KinderArts: Music & Movement
Friday, August 5 @ 10:00 am – 10:45 am
Young children and their caregivers are invited to a KinderArts Music and Movement session on Friday, July 8, from 10-10:45 am. Instructor Elizabeth Nichols-Goodliff will unite the group with American Playground songs, dances and play party tunes including “Down, Down, Down Baby”, “Zudio”, “Over the Sea” and more.
KinderArts sessions are free, and are geared for ages 3-8 with a caregiver or parent. Younger siblings are also welcome. Sessions will also be offered July 22 and August 5. Those who have questions may email Alison Brennan at alison@eastportartscenter.org. Support for this workshop has been provided by Belvedere Traditional Handcrafts Fund of the Maine Community Foundation.
Goodliff has been teaching music for more than 20 years, has directed numerous school musicals, and is involved in community theater with the Machias Blueberry Festival and Stage East. Her most recent Stage East venture was original music she composed for “Away Down East (A Wicked Good Time!)” that premiered at the EAC in June. Goodliff divides her time between East Machias and Wiscasset and also works at the Maine Veterans Home in Machias as a CNA.
Eastport Arts Center is at 36 Washington Street, Eastport and eastportartscenter.org, and is handicapped-accessible. EAC abides by State of Maine CDC COVID guidelines. Additionally, at this time, the EAC recommends that people wear masks when in our building.
