Open Mic Night

Friday, March 8 @ 5:30 pm 8:00 pm

Eastport Arts Center’s popular Open Mic Night will be held Friday, March 8. Sign-ups for performers will be taken starting at 5:30 pm, and the show will run from 6-8 pm. A limited number of slots for performers with special needs will be reserved for sign up in advance, first come, first served, by email to info@eastportartscenter.org (please put ‘Open Mic’ in the subject line of your request). All types of performances are welcome, but are limited to 10 minutes of stage time.

The lively event includes a mix of short acts in a casual coffeehouse-style atmosphere. Admission is free; donations will be gratefully accepted. Some refreshments will be provided free of charge; others will be available for purchase, with proceeds going towards sustaining events like these.

The March event has been sponsored by Mike MacPhee, a realtor with Due East and great supporter of the Open Mic events; this is his fifth Open Mic sponsorship. MacPhee notes, “I believe the role that EAC plays in Eastport is one of many factors that influence people to choose this area over others. Open Mic has become a new favorite with many, and I would like to encourage their brave participation into the future.”

Eastport Arts Center is at 36 Washington Street, Eastport, and at www.eastportartscenter.org, and is handicapped-accessible. EAC abides by the State of Maine CDC COVID guidelines, revisiting our policy monthly. At this time, the use of masks in our building is optional.
