Open Mic Night, sponsored by Mike MacPhee

Friday, February 9 @ 6:00 pm 8:00 pm

Eastport Arts Center’s next Open Mic will be held Friday, February 9, from 6-8 pm. The event, which has been recurring since January 2023, has become very popular and includes a lively mix of 10-minute music and spoken word acts in a casual coffeehouse-style atmosphere. Those interested in performing may sign up at the event for a slot, 10 minutes maximum; shorter acts are also very welcome. A limited number of slots for participants with special needs will be reserved for advance signup. Please send any inquiries by email to info@eastportartscenter.org. Admission is free; donations will be gratefully accepted. Some refreshments will be provided free of charge; others will be available for purchase, with proceeds going towards sustaining events like these.

The February event will be sponsored by Mike MacPhee, a realtor with Due East and great supporter of the Open Mic events; this is his fourth Open Mic sponsorship. MacPhee notes, “I believe the role that EAC plays in Eastport is one of many factors that influence people to choose this area over others. Open Mic has become a new favorite with many, and I would like to encourage their brave participation into the future.”

Eastport Arts Center is at 36 Washington Street, Eastport, and at www.eastportartscenter.org, and is handicapped-accessible. EAC abides by the State of Maine CDC COVID guidelines, revisiting our policy monthly. At this time, the use of masks in our building is optional.
