Roaring Jelly East—A Traditional Music Jam

May 22, 2016 @ 5:00 pm

Venue

Eastport Arts Center
36 Washington St
Eastport, ME 04631 United States

Roaring Jelly East is a traditional music jam for fiddle, mandolin, flute, pennywhistle, recorder and other acoustic instruments. Musicians young and old are invited to bring their instrument(s) and a favorite tune to teach, and come join in and play jigs and reels, waltzes and airs of New England and the Maritimes. Organizer Rob McCall comments, ‘for this session we will add a number of new old tunes. We are also seeking percussionists—bodhran, tambourine, triangle, spoons, limberjack, bass drum, you name it. Maybe we’ll even venture outside. Please let me know if you can come, or if you have any questions.—Rob McCall, organizer, (207) 853-9578.
