Stage East Annual Meeting and County Fair-Themed Party

Saturday, November 9 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Stage East will hold a county fair-themed annual membership meeting on Saturday November 9 at 2 pm at Eastport Arts Center. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their best cowpoke costumes as they enjoy country-inspired games and refreshments. The meeting will serve as an occasion to strengthen ties in the local theatre community as well as to conduct official Stage East business, including membership voting. Members and non-members are encouraged to attend and those interested in becoming members can do so for a fee of $5.

“I’m excited to meet everyone and get a sense of what the community would like to see from Stage East,” said Mark Macey, Eastport Art Center and Stage East’s new Island Institute Fellow. “I’ve been so impressed by everyone I’ve met, and I feel a real sense of community here when it comes the arts … It makes sense with Stage East’s long history. I’m hoping this meeting can serve as a sort of ‘bat signal’ to all the theatre folks here in town and beyond.”

In addition to the festivities and official business the meeting will include discussion about productions, workshops, and other offerings. Stage East looks forward to the upcoming year continuing to be a voice for local, live theatre. Please contact stageeast@gmail.com with any questions. Eastport Arts Center is at 36 Washington Street, Eastport, and is fully handicapped-accessible.
