Workshop: Needle Felted Landscapes
Saturday, March 20 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
EAC’s latest online workshop will include a thorough introduction to the techniques of needle felting with fiber artist Paula Farrar of Done Roving Yarns; participants will create a landcape image and/or a sunflower. Geared for students ages 12 and up, the class will cover color blending, use of the felting needle, pre-felt prep and design placement, shading and finishing; instruction will be suitable for felting beginners and more advanced students. Finished felt pieces will be sized to fit a 5×7″ frame; other methods of display will be discussed.
Kits with all materials needed will be available either by local pickup, or for the first time with our workshop series—by direct mail. Participants are also welcome to join in for the Zoom class using their own materials.Participants must register with Alison Brennan at firstname.lastname@example.org by March 18 to receive the Zoom invitation for class. Materials kits are available locally for $25 (sliding fee scale available by request) or for $31.50, including U.S. shipping, by mail at https://doneroving.com/…/landscape-needlefelting-kit…/.
Local kit pickups will be offered in Baring on March 18 and in Eastport and Robbinston on both March 18 and 19.
