All are invited to “Writers Read,” an open stage for creative writing, on Saturday, February 24, 2-4 pm, at Eastport Arts Center. Writers of all kinds, whether seasoned wordsmiths or emerging talents, are invited to share their written work. The event aims to create an atmosphere of inspiration and connection and to celebrate creativity and the power of storytelling in all of its forms. Those interested in sharing their work—whether published or as yet undiscovered—may sign up, first come, first served, for a 10-minute reading slot by email to email@example.com, or, space permitting, may sign up at the event. Participation will be limited, so those eager to read are encouraged to email early.
The free event is sponsored by a Maine Community Foundation’s Community Building Grant. Refreshments will be available for purchase; all proceeds go to support EAC’s ongoing goal of sustainability. Writers Read events will also be held on March 23 and April 20.
Eastport Arts Center is at 36 Washington Street, Eastport, and at www.eastportartscenter.org, and is handicapped-accessible. EAC abides by the State of Maine CDC COVID guidelines, revisiting our policy monthly. At this time, the use of masks in our building is optional.
