Zentangle: A Mindful Approach to Creativity and Flow with Ann Cannizzaro

Tuesday, July 28 @ 1:00 pm 2:00 pm

In this Zoom workshop, instructor Ann Cannizzaro will teach participants about the inspiring and mindful drawing practice called Zentangle.  This popular drawing method is for everyone and anyone.  The eight-step process will lead participants to create miniature masterpieces, while learning about ‘tangles’, ‘tiles’, and ‘strings’.  Attendees will learn and practice everything they need to know to begin their own journeys of discovery and creative flow through drawing.

Cannizzaro is an educator, artist, and lifelong learner living in Downeast Maine.  “Zentangle found me when I needed a way to find calm and inspiration in my life,” says Ann. “I was going through a difficult period and Zentangle helped me to find artistic flow and creativity when everything else was on ‘overwhelm.'”

This workshop is for ages 10 and up (younger children may participate under the guidance of an adult); the $10 registration fee includes materials (a sliding fee scale is available by request).

PLEASE preregister by Sunday, July 26, by emailing registration name, phone number and address to alison@eastportartscenter.orgMaterials kits will be available for pick up* at Eastport Arts Center on Monday, July 27 from 10 am to 1 pm, or contact Alison for an alternate time/place.
