Ecstatic Dance has resumed weekly meetings at Eastport Arts Center. All are invited to come and dance to great rhythmic music and move however they wish on Tuesdays from 5-6 pm, weather permitting. Attendees should wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring water to drink. $3 suggested donation. For more information please email info@eastportartscenter.org.

All Eastern European countries have at least some tradition of music and dance, usually celebrated by a Sunday Afternoon “Hora” (or dance) in the town square. Come learn these dances to exciting Greek, Romanian, Bulgarian and Israeli music. Everyone, including beginners, is welcome to come and explore this great tradition. By donation. Workshop: Beeswax Candles with Arlene Wren

Arlene Wren will teach the art of Beeswax Candlemaking on Saturday, November 17 from 2-4 pm, at Eastport Arts Center. Each participant will create hand-rolled candles from embossed beeswax sheets, in their choice of various sized pillars or spirals. The wax will be available in cornflower blue, cranberry, forest green, french blue, holiday red, hunter green, ivory, mint, and natural.
