Summer Workshop Series: Garden Stone Casting with Richard Klyver

Eastport Arts Center’s Summer Workshop Series continues from 10 am to 3 pm, Saturday, July 6, with Garden Stone Casting. Instructor Richard Klyver will help participants to create a low relief mold in wood of a Maine wildlife or plant image. A concrete mixture will then be poured into the mold to form unique garden stepping stones. If preferred, a vermiculite mixture may be used to create a piece suitable for hanging. A Summer Arts Camp for children ages 6-13 will be offered from 9 am-noon, July 8-12, at Eastport Arts Center. This year’s theme is North Woods Adventures Along the Appalachian Trail. Ecstatic Dance has resumed weekly meetings at Eastport Arts Center. All are invited to come and dance to great rhythmic music and move however they wish on Tuesdays from 5-6 pm, weather permitting.
