Each year, during the graduation ceremonies at area high schools, Eastport Arts Center honors seniors who have excelled in music, theater or the visual arts. Nominated by their dedicated teachers, the students have been chosen based on their outstanding commitment and contribution to the fine arts at their school and community. Calais High School seniors recently honored at their graduation ceremony include Danielle White for drama; Joey McLaughlin for music; and Cadence Spencer for visual art. Shead High School's honorees are Antonio Vizcarrondo for his excellence in music, and Victoria Perez for visual art. Washington Academy seniors honored were Ellie Claverie for music, and Landen Farrell for visual art. The EAC congratulates all of the honorees, and extends hopes that all will continue to find beauty and joy in the arts.
Shead High School Salutatorian Antonio Vizcarrondo received EAC's 2023 Arts Award for Music.
