EAC's Concert Series Lineup Announced

Eastport Arts Center’s Concert Series has announced a lineup of diverse performances for the Center’s main stage this summer. Organizers have dubbed 2023 the Year of the Cello due to an abundance of participating musicians who specialize in that instrument. Concerts are held on Fridays at 7 pm, unless noted otherwise; tickets are $15 for adults, attendees age 17 and under will be admitted free of charge. The series opens with pianist Gregory Biss and cellist Dan Allcott on June 30; a Sunday show on July 16 will feature The Stomberg Duo: Lawrence Stomberg and Jennifer C. Stomberg, cellists. Classical guitarist Aaron Larget-Caplan will take the stage August 4; siblings Anne Black, viola, and Alan Black, cello, will give a special concert to mark Anne’s 70th birthday on August 11. Pianist Raja Rahman will perform on August 18; and the series will conclude with the annual Young Persons’ Concert on September 1. Series organizers note that Allcott, Biss, Larget-Caplan, Rahman and Anne Black are return engagements for the series. Concert Series tickets may be purchased at the EAC box office 30 minutes prior to each show, or reserved in advance by email to info@eastportartscenter.org. The Eastport Arts Center is at 36 Washington Street, Eastport, and is handicapped-accessible. EAC abides by the State of Maine CDC COVID guidelines, revisiting our policy monthly. At this time, the use of masks in our building is optional.
