Eastport Arts Center incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the State of Maine in 1990, five years after our founding group of artists first came together to establish a grassroots gallery in Eastport.
Since that time, we are grateful for the support of many visionary philanthropists who share our goals to develop and sustain creative, thriving communities in every corner of Maine.
Our recent additional efforts to provide accessible online programming during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially, have been funded in part by a grant from the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Onion Foundation, but also the grantors who generously reallocated program funds to be used for operations in order to keep our staff and building.
The following foundations have awarded generous grants to Eastport Arts Center. We are deeply thankful for every dollar.
