Eastport Arts Center is thrilled to present Les Sorciers Perdus (LSP) performing original scores for silent comedy films by Buster Keaton and Charley Bowers on Thursday, July 25 at 7 pm. LSP is a Maine-based multi-genre quartet that specializes in performing new works by director Mark Tipton, including jazz and contemporary works, performance art installations, and original silent film scores. Eastport Arts Center will go for laughs on Saturday, July 27 at 7 pm, with the Maine Comedy All Stars show. Three in-demand Maine comedian will perform: Colby Bradshaw, Dennis Fogg and Ian Stuart. Eastport Arts Center’s Summer Workshop Series continues with a workshop for all ages in plant prints with Sara Myrick on Tuesday, July 30 from noon-2 pm. Participants will explore a variety of print possibilities using organic materials, paint, and printmaking on a small muslin bag to bring home. Participants are also welcome to bring their own print materials and/or additional fabric items to print. Ecstatic Dance has resumed weekly meetings at Eastport Arts Center. All are invited to come and dance to great rhythmic music and move however they wish on Tuesdays from 5-6 pm, weather permitting.
